September 2024
for september i'll reccomend reading
reform or revolution
, by
rosa luxemburg
(1900). i think this is especially meaningful to revisit due to the whole wave of 'vote blue no matter who' folks in usamerica. while luxemburg is left communist, i can still recognize good ideas put forth here. there's a lot of really solid critiques and luxemburg once again proves to be an amazing writer.
here's
an accompanying reading guide i found helpful, too, that offered some interesting questions. reform is always going to be a nuanced subject, but it's important we don't get sidetracked fighting smaller battles.
August 2024
for august i'll reccomend reading
hands off the militia!
, published by the
popular front for the liberation of palestine
(1971). some context, this was specifically put out by the PFLP info dept in beruit during the attack by the jordanian regime on palestinian revolutionaries and their forces within jordan. it does a great job stressing the need for 1: a palestinian militia, and 2: a strong independant palestinian nation. the theory and tactics discusssed here are still important to look back to today during israel's continued unjust assault on palestine.
